Jay’s professional philosophy at Catering ♦ Chocolate: 

Food preparations are simple and clean based on fresh, seasonal ingredients.  Service is gracious and professional.  Attention to detail is the only option. 

 

Jay is an honors graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY and the University of Vermont where he studied philosophy and economics.  He has cooked professionally in Colorado, San Francisco, Boston and Chicago inheriting a range of influences from those local cuisines and cultures. 

 

In Chicago Jay has worked in catering, gourmet foods and chocolates for over ten years.  He has owned and managed Catering ♦ Chocolate since 2007. 

 

Our catering clients work directly with Jay throughout the creative process and every step of their event.   You will usually find Jay at the store ready to answer questions and make your stop at Catering ♦ Chocolate an enjoyable part of your day.
